Success

Bob Marley sang,"Dont gain the world and loose your soul." Somtimes in our quest for success, we do the unspeakable. But it is important to realize that all the material things in the world, money, cars, houses... none of it matters, because none of it truly makes you happy... its like a temporary high.. beacause on the way to the top its easy to hurt those important to you.. greed, jealousy, when put into action, can have the worst consequences.. it is always a wise idea to remember your roots and where you came from, because like the wise ones say, "the higher you climb, the harder you fall."

Regrets

Food for thought... I have come to realize that we are what we make oursleves to be...You either make the right decisions or you dont.. but its important to never regret those things that we cannot change.. I have always tried to reassure myself when things arent necessarily going as i planned that, regrets are mistakes that we dont learn from... and yes, it took me a while to discover this tid-bit... but it sure does help me through those tough times... I have often found myself wishing i can turn back time.. wishing that i had never met certain people, wishing that i had never done some things... but then it hits me, everything happens for a reason and i am meant to learn something from it...

Being Thankful

Sometimes when we have those moments of clarity in our lives, right there and then it hits us, whats important and whats not. Things that were once the centre of our world now seem trivial.. I look back at the years gone by in amazement... Age and experience in the "real" world changes an individual... for better or for worse.. I guess you can say, the bitter taste of loosing everything you held so dear, changes your perspective on life..but it is the sweetest feeling in the world, that realization, of what matters most and what you're willing to fight this war of life for...
